Product Recommendation: MaxBlaster & MaxBox*

One of the hottest subjects in the world of ozone today.

With the recent explosion of staph and mrsa infections in locker rooms across the country and the general public's raised awareness of this epidemic, companies big and small are racing to find the best means to solve this problem. Many are already doing a very good job of it too.

We know because our ozone generators are currently used by different companies across the USA and Canada in the design of their own athletic sterilization machines. These machines vary in price and scope, but all maintain the same basic idea... a compact closet-type unit that stores multiple athletic uniforms with high concentrations of ozone pushed inside to completey oxidize and sterilize the gear.

We will soon offer a MaxBox of our own that you can buy direct, or, if you are simply looking for a high-output ozone generator to use in your own design, the MaxBlaster is a great place to start.

For now, you can simply run your MaxBlaster into a closet of your own that contains the apparel you wish to oxidize... reducing bacterias and the possibility of much worse infections.

* 2010 MaxBox coming soon... see the image below for instructions on how to use the spout outlet & tube accessory to push ozone into a closet to oxidize clothes.

Product Recommendation: MaxBlaster & Spout Outlet with Tube

Professional Auto Detailers and Used Car Dealerships are one of our most common commercial customers. Because of the relative small interior size and moderate degree of odor in the average automobile, the MaxBlaster is able to oxidize most odors in only a short amount of time (less than an hour).

We've found the best way to treat automobiles is to run the MaxBlaster from outside the vehicle, allowing it to breathe entirely fresh oxygen throughout the treatment cycle while pushing heavy concentrations of ozone into the vehicle via the spout outlet and tube attachment. Also, it will improve efficiency if the car is allowed to run it's fans throughout the treatment cycle, thus circulating ozone through its' vents, which is often the source of many odors.

For those bigger detailers who need to complete more than one vehicle at a time, we recommend taking advantage of our multiple unit discounts to purchase more than one MaxBlaster, then charging your customers a fair price to ozonate their vehicles... thus paying for the generators themselves over time.

*How to Use the Spout Outlet & Tube Accessory for Maximum Ozone Efficiency

This is the absolute BEST way to treat an automobile... because if you leave the generator inside the car after only a minute or so the generator will be breathing recycled ozone in through it's inlet end.

To produce the highest concentrations of ozone you need to breathe the highest concentrations of oxygen... so our spout outlet & tube accessory is a must. It attaches easily to the outlet end of the MaxBlaster without screws. This accessory also works great on all other small space applications like boats & closets to sterilize clothes.

(*note: we recommend sealing off the rest of the window with a cover or similar device)

Product Recommendation: MaxBlaster & Spout Outlet with Tube

Located on the Lake Erie coast, we are familiar with usual musty odors found inside the cabins of the typical self-maintained boat. This is especially true for those boats that do not receive daily or weekly attention or cleaning. The MaxBlaster can be a very effective tool at keeping those odors at bay.

We recommend first bringing the humidity down to a minimum (no higher than 50%) inside the cabin before treatment. Once the humidity has been brought to a minimum, run the MaxBlaster from outside the cabin pushing the ozone into the cabin via the spout outlet and tube attachment. Similar to treating an automobile, this allows the MaxBlaster to breathe only fresh oxygen during treatment which allows for the greatest efficienc & ozone concentration.

Once a heavy treatment cycle (4-8hrs) has been completed we recommend using the automatic on/off timer to program a 30 minute- 1 hour refresh treatment (once or twice per week) while the boat is vacant (you may leave the MaxBlaster inside the cabin for this treatment if necessary to prevent risk of theft). This should allow you to return to the boat without the usual heavy musty odor.

Product Recommendation: MaxBlaster & D.I.Y. Tarp System*

Carpet Cleaners are another business industry customer of ours that use our MaxBlaster to meet their commercial needs. Using our ozone generator along with some other normal methods of cleaning treatments (wash, rinse, vacuum, spot treat, etc) has proven to increase the effectiveness of their treatments.

We understand that most carpet cleaning companies use a variety of methods to target the output of ozone specifically onto the carpet instead of treating the entire room. This allows them to bring the concentration of ozone to it's highest levels only on the area they are focused on cleaning... the carpet.

The average D.I.Y. customer who is looking for the best way to treat an odor problem on his/her own floor can do the same by trying the following method...

First place a large plastic tarp (like the blue tarps used by painters that you can buy at your local home improvement store) across the carpet you wish to treat. Raise this tarp about 12"-18" off the floor (evenly) using some crates (or something similar) to create a tent like effect across the floor area. Now, place your MaxBlaster so the outlet end is facing under the tarps... and run your MaxBlaster so the ozone becomes trapped in high concentrations under your 'tent'.

This is an easy way to increase the concentrations and thus effectiveness of your ozone treatment.

*the tarp system may be something we look to add to our accessories in the near future

Product Recommendation: MaxBlaster Only

Ahhhh... the most common odor for ozone generators. And, the good news for those of you with cigarette & tobacco odors in your home, office, rental property or car... one of the easiest to eliminate.

On the scale of odors removed by ozone generators, these odors fall in the light to moderate category, even though they are some of the most despised odors for those affected by them.

To eliminate cigarette & tobacco odors with your MaxBlaster, simply need to follow the basic instructions that come with your machine. No special tricks, or unique application methods are necessary.

Remove the 3 P's, prepare your room, and run your MaxBlaster according to how big your space is and how bad the odors are. And after a treatment of two at most, your space should smell fresh & clean.

Product Recommendation: MaxBlaster Only

Cooking and Kitchen Odors can be on the more difficult end of the spectrum to eliminate. So you need to prepare for an extended treatment period if you plan on oxidizing them completely.

We recommend preparing the room first by removing all open food. While exposure to ozone will not make the food unhealthy or dangerous to consume, it may effect the taste a little bit.

Seal the room off as normally instructed in your owners manual. Then plan on running your MaxBlaster on the time-scale for heavy odors. If after the first treatment the odors have not been completely eliminated you may need to repeat the same treatment cycle a second, and possibly third time.

It is important that if you are in the business of removing odors for your own customers, that you prepare them with the possibility that it may take several treatments to eliminate their cooking odors. In other words, don't go in promising or guaranteeing the odors will be removed after one 6-hour treatment.

But if you are willing to take your time, and oversaturate the room with ozone treatment, even the strongest cooking odors can be eliminated with MaxBlaster Ozone Generators.

Product Recommendation: One or more MaxBlasters & Protective Face Mask

Another project that is on the most difficult end of the spectrum to eliminate. In fact, if your fire damage is severe enough, you may want to consider calling a professional, who would use advanced methods in addition to ozone treatment to solve your problem.

However, if you are handy enough, and willing to put in a little trial and error, using your MaxBlaster effectivly can eliminate mild to moderate fire damage.

You will want to follow the guidelines in your owner's manual for the heaviest of odors... and run your MaxBlaster accordingly on the time-scale.

Similar to cooking odors, you will want to prepare for the possibility that it may take two, three, or even more treatments to completely remove the bad odors associated with fire damage.

We also recommend moving your MaxBlaster to different parts of the home, or even running it into the central air system of your home, to circulate and distribute high concentrations of ozone throughout all affected areas.

(the following is the same recommendations for Mold Remediation)

Product Recommendation: MaxBlaster, Mask, Timer & Spout Outlet with Tube*

Mold Remediation makes up a huge portion of our business... we estimate as many as one out of every three customers is using their MaxBlaster to eliminate mold in some form or another.

And here's what we can tell you...

Ozone kills mold. And it kills mold spores. But because you are dealing with what is as much a health issue as an odor issue we recommend doing everything possible to succesfully treat these projects, which in many cases involves more than just using your ozone generator.

According to Mitch Petersilge with Imperium Contracting, a mold remediation professional who uses our ozone generators in his business, here is a simple 4-step remedy that the average homeowner can follow to effectively treat mold...

Step 1: Cease the cause of moisture
Step 2: Scrub any visible mold with a mixture ratio of:

Hydrogen Peroxide... 1 Pint
Baking Soda... 1/2 Cup
Dish Soap... 1 Teaspoon

Step 3: Bring room to lowest possible humidity levels
Step 4: Operate your MaxBlaster Ozone Generator

Mold should be considered on the more difficult end of the spectrum of projects.
(see our owner's manual for run times)

And we recommend over-doing it when it comes to how long you should run your MaxBlaster. In other words... it's better to be safe than sorry. Even though it may be inconvenient to remove all the people, pets, and plants from a home with mold for several days... it may just be worth it in the long run.

*For total protection while completing mold treatments please use the protective face mask accessory, and for projects where mold may be found on/inside walls please consider using the spout outlet with tube accessory to push the ozone output directly into the wall via a pre-cut inconspicuous hole.

We recommend doing as much independent research on the effects and recommendations for using ozone generators to treat mold. You may even want to take a look at Mitch's site to learn more...

Product Recommendation: Value Package 1, 2, or 3

If you own a hotel, or if you are the property manager for a hotel or motel, let us be very direct...

Buy a MaxBlaster... immediately.

There may not be a more specific need, or a better solution for the common odors associated with hotels and motels, than a high output ozone generator like the MaxBlaster.

Because you need each room to smell fresh and clean on a daily basis, and because you don't have hours to spend cleaning each one, using a MaxBlaster provides you a way to easily and quickly eliminate the odors from a tenant who has recently vacated.

We recommend using our MaxBlaster for one extended treatment to begin with... say one 24-hour cycle to completely oxidize all existing odors. Then, after each customer vacates, or on a once-a-week basis, run your MaxBlaster for an hour or so to oxidize any new odors that may be developing.

Because the room size of the average hotel/motel is relatively small, it won't take long to do the job.

Use the protective carry case to increase the life of your MaxBlaster, and the timer to automatically program the on/off cycle. And if their are many rooms in your hotel or motel, you may want to consider buying one of our value packages that offer greater capabilities of large scale odor removal.

Product Recommendation: MaxBlaster & D.I.Y. Tarp System*

We all love our pets. What we don't love is the mess they leave behind.

This is especially true if the mess was left in a rental property you own by a tenant's pet.

Unfortunately, pet urine odor is one of the most difficult to remove. Especially cats, we hear.

But they are not impossible to remediate... especially if you use ozone in combination with other cleaners.

Here's what we recommend...

Get an enzyme cleaner. Enzyme cleaners have proven to work  effectively at helping to treat these odors. They are not hard to find... just google enzyme cleaners and you will find a nice selection.

After cleaning the affected area using enzyme cleaners & any other tradional method of deodorizing...
run your MaxBlaster according to the time chart for heavy odors.

In fact, you should expect to need to run your MaxBlaster for at least two treatments... maybe more.

And, to really give yourself the best chances for success... we recommend using a painters drop-cloth or blue tarp to cover the affected areas of the carpet, then lift the cloth about 18" off the ground using whatever you can to evenly lift it from the floor to create a tent-like system.

Run your MaxBlaster so the ozone output is pushed under the cloth, thus bringing extreme concentrations of ozone only under the tarp. This should do a good job and give you the best chance for success.

Then, consider fish for your next pet!

*we may look to develop a tarp system to sell as an accessory in the near future

Product Recommendation: Value Package 1, 2 or 3*
