November 2011... WOW, some great feedback from the HUNTING INDUSTRY~
Okay Greg, here’s the scoop. I took the MaxBlaster to Illinois and the guys up there agreed to let me set it up in their tack room where they kept their hunting gear between hunts. I know you are not a deer hunter but believe me when I tell you that they can smell like a blood hound and they travel into the wind whenever possible. There is no possible way to fool their sense of smell 100% or even 90% and the older the deer the smarter they are (we are hunting the old, mature bucks with the big antlers). The goal is to reduce your scent footprint as much as possible through a variety of methods and still try to set up down wind of where you think they might travel. We also hunt 20 to 30’ off the ground to help disburse our scent. There are products available to remove human and other odor from skin and clothes that work fairly well but do require some time and effort that makes it difficult to do before every hunt (i.e. take a shower or wash clothes). I usually carry 3 sets of clothes for a one week hunt and try to keep my spares in a special scent proof bag ($29.95). Problem is that some of the gear can’t be effectively cleaned. Backpacks, bows & arrows, binocular straps, hats, boots, gloves, calls, tree stands, etc. pick up odors over time from riding around in the back of the truck or being worn against the body. All of these can easily be washed between hunts by your unit. This prospect alone had everybody excited to try it.
We set up in the tack room by building a rack out of 2x4s and saw horses to supplement the hooks already on the walls. We hung the MaxBlaster from a ceiling hook located near the window which we cracked an inch or so. The humidity was pretty low the first few days we were there so I felt pretty good about that. We spread our gear out on the rack and hooks and washed it for about 2 ½ hours. This became the SOP after each hunt. While it is hard to prove a negative, all indications are that the ozone worked to reduce our scent footprint by a very significant margin. I was forced to hunt from the ground one evening and had deer downwind of me as close as 25’. This is absolutely unheard of. These deer could see me and knew I didn’t belong but never spooked and ran off. The other guys had similar experiences and while we did get busted a couple of times, the general opinion was that the ozone wash was extremely effective in reducing our scent footprint. I wore the same clothes for 4 days until it rained and soaked them making them impossible to wear and difficult to ozone.
the average hunting experience of the guys involved is around 35 years. None of us are rookies and none of us are ready to swear that ozone washing is the answer. We will continue to experiment and experience until we have a definitive answer. The Illinois guys made me leave my unit with them and the PA guys will be getting their own unit, as will my hunting buddy since he lives too far from me to use mine. I recommended they use the MaxBlaster and gave them your website. I will need another unit since mine is still in Ill. But realize that it might take a while since I already used up my “rush delivery” favor. I strongly suggest you work a deal with the Illinois guys to feature your unit on one of their TV episodes because I believe, if the evidence stays strong, that they will work a deal with someone and that it will result in a significant number of sales. Might as well be you.
Anyway, I just wanted you to know that we had a very positive experience and I appreciate all the help and info you provided. I will provide updates as they become available and if you have any brain storms that might help us along please don’t hesitate to let me know.

January 12, 2011... What to expect in 2011
This is the start of my third year with our company, and I am very excited about what's in store for 2011. After spending the first two of my years here getting us established as a 'real' business, meaning incorporation, accountants, staffing, website development, banking and credit card processes (and other boring stuff) we can now look forward to focusing solely on product and business development.
Our goals this year are simple... improve our shipping times to allow same day shipping on all orders, increase our exposure into specific markets, and as always to continue to improve our MaxBlaster ozone generator. We also have some new ozone products in the works... but stay tuned later for more info on that.
The MaxBlaster will remain mostly the same in terms of performance, but some of the cosmetic things our customers have mentioned still need some work. We are expanding our facility as we speak to improve our efficiency and shipping times... so thanks to all of you who've waited a little extra during our busy 2010.

December 2010... Important Notice regarding imitation 'ozone blaster' sellers...
Over the last few years as we've grown our little business into one of the most recognized ozone generator manufacturers in the USA we've watched as other, similar individuals have attempted to purchase, open and reverse engineer our popular MaxBlaster ozone generator in an effort to sell their 'own' version, offering customers a sub-standard imitation of our machine. We've done nothing to stop such individuals for two reasons: first, we are too busy trying to keep up with the production demand for our own MaxBlaster and two, we assumed the effort to stop them would not be worth the trouble and costs, both financial and in time-lost.
However, because we've begun to receive numerous complaints from customers who've been taken advantage of by such imitation companies OR who have sent us their units for repair incorrectly thinking it was US who sold it to them we have been forced to take stronger action against such individuals.
Please understand that it is with our regret to have to take such action. We respect about 95% of our competitors. Even though we compete for the same customers in a similar industry, we have always maintained the principle that we will not tear down our competition in order to promote our own product.We promote the use of ozone in general, understanding that we are ALL really selling the same thing (ozone) and that there is enough business for all of us in this growing industry to avoid having to stomp all over one another.

November 2010... Measuring Ozone in an Occupied Room
Ozone Concentrations vary greatly at different locations. Please remember the following...
1 Ozone is heavier than air and tends to sink to lower levels 2 Ozone has a low vapor pressure so it does not try to fill a room uniformly. It tends to stay in place. 3 Ozone clings to rough surfaces such as fabrics and breaks down when passing through restrictions. 4 Ozone reverts back to oxygen with a 'half-life' of about 10-30 minutes. 5 Ozone has a sweet smell, but the threshold varies widely by the person and ambient conditions.
Keep these in mind when using the MaxBlaster ozone generator to eliminate odors and mold. Remember to use a fan to disperse the air in your treatment space and to open all the cupboards, drawers and have anything else you wish to be ozonated open and exposed to the ozone gas during treatment.
November 2010... Ozone generators used to kill bed bugs
We've had a lot of conversation recently with customers who use ozone generators to kill bed bugs. Here's what we've learned... ozone generators that produce high amounts of ozone such as the MaxBlaster effectively kill bed bugs. However... bed bugs leave behind eggs or larva that need additional ozone treatment the following day(s) to kill as well. If you are eliminating bed bugs with ozone do a heavy SHOCK ozone treatment of 4-24 hours (depending on room size) then follow up the next day with another treatment the same length of time. Monitor your results then repeat if necessary. The key to remember... if you want to kill ALL the bed bugs you gotta kill the eggs too... and the eggs are more difficult to kill requiring follow up treatments the day after your first SHOCK ozone treatment cycle.

August 2010... How to properly store an Ozone Generator for long term use
To properly store your ozone generator we strongly recommend the following...
1 Store it indoors, in a temperature controlled environment 2 Keep it away from humidity during storage 3 Store it inside a container and include a desiccant bag to keep humidity off the plates
The more we learn about ozone generators the more we know the importance of keeping them away from humidity. To combat this, we've ordered fitted boxes to ship each of our MaxBlaster Ozone Generators in AND a huge stock of desiccant bags. Desiccant bags are the dry bags found inside merchandise such as shoes and electric equipment (looks and feels like a miniature sand bag). In the coming weeks we will begin to ship each unit inside this small fitted box and STRONGLY urge each customer to store their ozone generator in this box WITH the desiccant bag. This should pull any excess humidity off the plates during storage and allow for more efficient ozone production AND longer expected life-spans.
You heard it here first... now watch all the competition follow our lead once again and start shipping THEIR units with desiccant bags! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I guess.

June 2010... A thorough follow up to a customer question about ozone generators
I respond to about 10-15 customers each day who are considering buying an ozone generator but have a few questions first. Because of the volume of the calls and emails I get often times my responses are generic, repetitious, and standard. However, as explained in my previous blog posting, I just used our MaxBlaster ozone generator myself for the first time in several months on a new (old) home I just bought. The results were so encouraging that I am once again excited about our product and I am responding to questions from customers with a renewed energy. Below is a question and response I gave to a customer this morning. I thought this answer could answer questions for a ton of other customers, so I decided to post the whole thing for everyone to enjoy....

I have a boat
application which you highlight on your site. Its a 43 ft sailboat with
lots of electronics and systems. Does anything need to be covered or
protected?
The other is my mother in laws basement. She is 86. With the timer, is tat a safe application?

I would cover the valuable electronics just to be extra safe. However
nobody has ever reported significant damage from using our machine. I
did have one customer who used it on a boat and reported that the wire
coatings on some equipment had begun to get a little sticky (indicating
that an oxidation process may have started) but he also told me he ran
the machines over an entire weekend for about 72 straight hours. Since
then, we have instructed folks to only let the machines run for a
maximum of 24 hours and to turn it off for about 12 before continuing
with treatment if necessary. For your application I'd run the machine
for about 6 hours on, then turn it off for 6 hours, then repeat as many
times as necessary until you notice a complete change in the air
quality. I'd follow up with smaller maintenance treatments of 2-3 hours
each every couple weekends or so if necessary.
For your mom's basement, I'd do 8 hours on, then 8 off, and repeat as
instructed above. I just did my own basement last night in an older
home I just bought. I slept upstairs during treatment. I smelled a
little ozone when I woke up and went down to the ground level floor (slept on third
floor) but not too much that it was dangerous or uncomfortable. The
smell (musty) in the basement had greatly improved. I set the timer
today to run the machine for 2 hours while I'm at work and by the time
I get home (in 8 hours) I expect the ozone to have naturally converted
back to oxygen.
The best way to do it safely is to test it yourself by running it for a
short time at first then asking your mom if she noticed or was bothered
by anything. Then repeat as necessary. Try and seal the basement
airflow off from the rest of the house then after treatment do your
best to open some windows and bring fresh oxygen into the home and
especially the treated area.
These ozone generator machines work great, they are easy to use, and the most important
instruction you need to know is just to do a little trial and error
yourself at first by limiting the run times then increase as you feel
more comfortable with the results.

June 2010... Ozone Generators work! I know because I used the MaxBlaster on my own new home last night!
Hello to all you out there using (or considering using) ozone generators to eliminate odors & mold. I work today with a renewed excitement about the product we make & sell. I just bought a great home on the shores of Lake Erie in Rocky River, Ohio. The older home has a musty basement that I need to turn into functional space. So I used our MaxBlaster in the basement last night and woke up today with an almost completely fresh basement. Amazing. I plan on running the MaxBlaster Ozone Generator for another 24 hours or so over several treatments to really make sure it is completely sanitized and smells fresh down there but WOW, these machines really work!

Wow... we can barely keep up with the high-volume of sales for this month.

June 2010... Our Competitors Make us Better (again)
We have to compliment our competitors... they've done a nice job of introducing some new products to the market at some pretty good prices too. So, a few weeks ago, we lowered our prices significantly in an effort to remain the high-output/low-price ozone generator king.
This resulted in an rush of new sales.... triple the amount they were a month ago and a record total for the month of May.
So thank you to our customers... and our competitors who keep us on our toes and force us to continue to improve and offer our products at the lowest possible prices.

April 2010... The correct way to remove odors from automobiles using ozone generators
Today we oxidized the odors from an automobile for a local customer. We took some photos to illustrate the correct way to do auto odor elimination using an ozone generator.

Step #1 Prepare the MaxBlaster outside the vehicle so it can breathe fresh oxygen Step #2 Push the ozone into the vehicle via the spout outlet and tube accessory Step #3 Let the car run with it's air conditioning on and the vents closed to outside air. Step #4 Allow the MaxBlaster(s) to run for about an hour Step #5 Finish and return the car to regular oxygen (drive it up/down the road with windows open)
That's it!
The MaxBlaster is ideal for auto odor elimination. It works very well... and fast.

Wow... our company's growth has really REALLY made some of our competitors angry (you know who you are! and we know you are reading this). Well, we understand with progress there will be detractors. And exaggerated claims. And imitators. It's all part of business. But we can't wait to see what they say about our latest innovations scheduled for launch soon.
